Snow White Box Office Passes Major Global Milestone (But It Still Hasn’t Made Its Budget Back)

This article covers a developing story. Continue to check back with us as we will be adding more information as it becomes available.
Snow White has crossed a major box office milestone, but it might not be enough. The newest Disney live-action remake stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot and features new music by The Greatest Showman‘s Pasek and Paul. Although the movie debuted at No. 1 at the domestic box office, its box office performance has been hampered by a variety of factors, including negative reviews earning it a 40% Rotten Tomatoes score and Snow White backlash coming from multiple corners, including controversy surrounding its depiction of the seven dwarfs and the leads’ opposing opinions on Israel and Palestine.
Per Variety, as of Sunday morning, Snow White is projected to close out its third weekend in theaters with a global total of $168 million. This sees it passing the $150 milestone and maintaining its status as one of the Top 5 movies of 2025 so far, only falling behind A Minecraft Movie at No. 3, Captain America: Brave New World at No. 2, and the Chinese smash hit Ne Zha 2 at No. 1. However, the fact that it cost $250 million to make still means that it has not even earned its budget back just yet.
